The Sri Lanka Cricket Club Austria (SLCC) proudly celebrated the Sinhala and Tamil New Year (Awurudu) on 18 April 2026 with a vibrant gathering of members, families, and friends in Vienna. The event brought together the Sri Lankan community to celebrate one of the most important cultural traditions of the year, creating a warm atmosphere filled with joy, laughter, and togetherness.

Guests enjoyed a wide variety of authentic Sri Lankan food and refreshments while taking part in traditional Awurudu games that delighted both children and adults. The evening was further enriched with music, cultural activities, and friendly interactions that strengthened the bonds within our growing community.

More than just a celebration, the SLCC Awurudu Party serves as an opportunity to preserve and share Sri Lankan traditions, connect generations, and foster a strong sense of belonging among Sri Lankans living in Austria.
