Marked a special occasion for the Sri Lanka Cricket Club (SLCC) Austria, as members of our Executive Committee, along with several other officials, had the honor of meeting Her Excellency Ms. Dayani Mendis, the newly appointed Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Austria, at the Sri Lankan Embassy in Vienna.

We were delighted to be invited to greet and meet Her Excellency on behalf of the SLCC community, and to formally welcome her on this new and important assignment. As the leading association representing the Sri Lankan community here in Austria, SLCC was proud to take this opportunity to reaffirm our long-standing relationship with the Embassy and the broader diplomatic mission.

During the meeting, our committee members had the chance to speak with Ambassador Mendis about the vibrant Sri Lankan community in Austria and the role SLCC plays in bringing that community together – whether through cricket, cultural events, or social gatherings that keep our heritage alive far from home.

We look forward to continuing this relationship with Her Excellency and the Embassy in the years ahead, and to working together to support and celebrate the Sri Lankan diaspora here in Austria.
