SLCC Welcomes Her Excellency Ambassador Dayani Mendis

The Sri Lanka Cricket Club Austria (SLCC), proudly recognized as Austria’s largest Sri Lankan community organization, had the distinct honor of welcoming Her Excellency Ambassador Dayani Mendis, the newly appointed Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Austria.

The visit marked a significant milestone for both the Embassy of Sri Lanka and the Sri Lankan community in Austria. It was also the Ambassador’s first official gathering with the Sri Lankan community since assuming her diplomatic responsibilities in Austria, providing a valuable opportunity to meet community members and exchange ideas.

During the event, Her Excellency engaged in a warm and meaningful discussion with SLCC members, listening to their perspectives and learning about the club’s ongoing efforts to promote Sri Lankan culture, sports, unity, and community engagement across Austria.

A highlight of the occasion was the official launch of the brand-new SLCC website, which was ceremonially unveiled by Her Excellency Ambassador Dayani Mendis. The new website represents an important step forward in SLCC’s digital transformation, providing members and the wider community with easy access to club news, upcoming events, membership information, photo galleries, and community initiatives.
